How To Write A Song
Lyndon Wesley, SongCoach

Here at SongCity we love music and can’t get enough of it.
Music continues to have a profound affect on us. It is integral to who we are. We live and breathe it. Around here CD sleeves regularly get treated like novels, each liner note reading like a line from the great musical script of our lives.

We believe there is a craft that complements the art of songwriting. Those who understand this craft increase their chances of success at any level. We believe there are no prerequisites to song writing, aside from a love and passion for music. Helping people achieve their dreams through musical endeavor is a privilege and we enjoy it immensely.

The Road To SongCity
SongCity - Simply Songwriting! was founded by Lyndon Wesley. Lyndon has experience teaching guitar and playing many styles of music. He began playing and singing his first songs at five years of age. A self-taught musician Lyndon was performing professionally at seventeen and became a locally awarded singer/songwriter supporting Australian super-stars Mark Seymour (Hunters and Collectors), Ross Wilson (Mondo Rock, Daddy Cool) and Don Walker (Cold Chisel) among others.

Lyndon has over twenty years of live performance experience having played in numerous bands and as a solo artist promoting his own projects. Lyndon is regularly called upon to direct bands and volunteer music teams, something he has been doing since 1997.  As a guitarist and singer Lyndon has toured nationally and overseas, recorded in L.A. and has written, produced and appeared on numerous albums.

In early 2010 Lyndon acted on his desire to see a collaborative community of dedicated, educated songwriters. So with the help of other passionate musicians NSAI Melbourne was born. The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) has over one hundred chapters worldwide catering for songwriters across many genres.

Lyndon currently resides in Melbourne with his wife and three young boys.
